FRAME SCRIPT TRANSFER

This transfer, was by far the most popular, lasting from possibly the pre-1939 period, until the end in 1983. It was available and used in two versions i.e. "The Flying Scot" and "The Scot" and in variety of colours. There was no change made to the customers frame whether it was badged "The Scot" or "The Flying Scot", it was purely as chosen by the customer.

Notes

The script transfer was also used in combination with both painted and more complex transfer panels, with the lettering in a contrasting colour.

Early "The Flying Scot" versions were also given a speed effect as seen above, by the addition of a panel with black streaks behind the lettering.

Neither version appears to have been available or used on either the top or seat tubes.
